Stuart Martin has worked for several Lincolnshire Architectural Practices and started painting early in his architectural career. It was a requirement with many Local Authority Planning Departments that application plans and elevations were required to be presented water coloured. This together with the production of design sketches and working drawings ignited a passion for art.

He enjoys pencil sketching, watercolour and pastel. Since retirement prefers oil painting en plein air. Subjects range from landscapes, seascapes, buildings, boats as well as interior and still life subjects.
