Sally Slade

Masham, Yorkshire - by Sally Slade - Watercolour

(from a photo by Valerie Baker)

I did a degree in Fine Art at Reading university in the 80s, but have only recently painted regularly, as work and family have previously taken priority. My older two are now at university and the youngest is a boarder, so I have a bit of spare time. I paint landscapes, seascapes, figurative, still life, pretty much anything! I am especially fond of: churches, the Isle of Wight, ballet dancers and gymnasts.

I use acrylics, watercolours, pencil and pen and ink. I have to avoid oils as I paint in the kitchen and the smell is too pungent!
