About Spalding Arts & Crafts Society
and Contact details
Spalding Arts and Crafts Society is proud to be one of the oldest established societies for visual arts and craftwork in the country. It was founded in 1916 by surgeons at the Johnson Hospital in Spalding for recovering soldiers wounded in the First World War. Spalding Town Council sponsored their first exhibition in 1918.
Now the Society continues to thrive, having over 100 members. Members exhibit their work locally and there are monthly demonstrations by notable professional artists from all over the country, where members and visitors can get inspriration and tips, with a break for tea or coffee.
Any of the committee members below will be happy to answer any queries.
